Day 1

Yangon Arrival

You will arrive to Yangon airport and be welcomed by our journey staff and you will be brought to hotel.

Yangon is the most industrialized and the most bustling city of Myanmar. Amaze yourself with the colonial heritage which is left-over after the invasion of British.

Upon a brief fresh up commence Yangon city tour. Highlight; down town Yangon with its faded colonial atmosphere such as central post office, historic Strand hotel, custom house and high court to observe the colonial heritage in Yangon, then city center where Sule Pagoda located to see the bustling life of Yangon and City Hall. “Chaukhtathgyi Pagoda” it is the fourth largest colossal reclining image in Myanmar and 67m long. In the evening, visit the most magnificent and spectacular religious edifice, Shwedagon Pagoda before the sun set and enjoy the beauty stupa while it changes the shining of gold in different tones according to the radiant of the setting sun. Enjoy dinner with cultural show at Karaweik palace .

Day 2

Yangon – Mandalay by flight – Inwa(Ava) – Sagaing – Amarapura

After breakfast at the hotel, an awaiting car will take you to the airport for your flight to Mandalay, the former royal capital of Myanmar’s last dynasty.

Tour starts to Inwa (Ava), and here you’ll be taken by a native horse cart for sightseeing around Inwa that would last hardly 3 hours. Visit will be made to Bagaya Monastery that is a fine example of Myanmar masonry art and architecture, Mainu Brick Monastery and old watchtower.

Then, drive to Sagaing, considered by Myanmar Buddhists to be the holiest site in the country and visit to Sagaing Hill.

We will end the day by watching a beautiful sunset at U Bein, the famous footbridge in Myanmar.

Day 3

Mandalay – Mingun – Mandalay

After breakfast, a boat trip along Ayeyarwaddy River (~ 1 hr) to visit Mingun which is 11 km north of Mandalay. Visit sites are: Pahtodawgyi, a giant brick stupa is constructed in 1970, Mingun Bell (90 tons), one of the world’s largest hanging bells was cast in 1808; Mya Theindan Pagoda (1817) has unique architecture style which symbolized the Seven Seas of Buddhist cosmology.

Then back to Mandalay and visit to the revered Mahamuni Bouddha Image, as well as visit the workshop where gold leaf is produced. An afternoon tour begins with Shwenandaw Monastery noted for its exquisite wood carvings, followed by Kuthodaw Pagoda, which is known as the World’s Biggest Book because of its stone slabs consisting of Buddhist scriptures. End the day with panoramic views of the city and a spectacular sunset at Mandalay Hill.

Day 4

Mandalay – Pyin Oo Lwin by car

After breakfast, drive to Pyin Oo Lwin by private car (67 km/~ 1 hr 30). Once check-in, you will visit Pyin Oo Lwin city and local Market for its attractive seasonal fruits and flowers.

Pyin Oo Lwin is also called Pan Myodaw (the city of flowers). Deserving enough to get this name, lilies and roses grow naturally on every road and other small flowers are also blooming.

In the afternoon, you will visit to the Kandawgyi National Garden (May Myo Botanical Garden). It consists of a variety of plants, trees, flowers and animals in an area of 49 acres natural forest. Then you can take a ride on a colonial styled horse-cart for a few distance, and go around by car to admire some colonial styled buildings, Maha Ant Htoo Kan Tha (huge marble-stone image of Buddha) situated at the top of a hillock which offers a scenic view over the cultivated valley nearby and Pwe Kauk waterfall. If the time permits, end the day by visiting Paikchin Myaung Natural cave.

Day 5

Pyin Oo Lwin – Naung Pain by train – Hsibaw by car

Morning depart by train to Naung Pain village (~ 4 hr) passing over the famous Gok Hteik viaduct which was the second highest railway bridge in the world before exiting the railway in the mountains of Lhasa in Tibet and was built over the deep gorge (300m) by Pennsylvania Steel Company on behalf of the British over 100 years ago. The scenic view along the viaduct is breathtaking and you can also experience the way of life along the railroad. Arrive at Naung Pain station, and continue drive by car to His baw, the former royal capital of Northern Shan State.
Afternoon visit to Baw gyo Pagoda before check-in at hotel. Then make a stroll through some typical Shan villages surrounded by paddy fields.

Day 6

Hsipaw

Morning, visit to the Hsibaw local market. Then start your boat trip along Dohtawaddy River to observe the scenery of Shan plateau, orange and orchard plantation along the up-river just to confluent. On the way back, stop at a Shan village to admire the country side and study their daily life in traditional way. Afternoon drive back to Hsibaw, and continue visit to some interesting places such as making Shan rice noodle; Ton-Sint Nat shrine, spirit guardian of the town; ruined small pagodas near old wooden monastery  which houses bamboo Buddha image, etc….. End the day, enjoy the sunset at a hillock; Thein- Taung with panoramic view over the town.

Day 7

Hsipaw-Mandalay

After breakfast, drive to Mandalay by private car (~3hr). Arrive in Mandalay and visit Zegyo Market, Buddha Tooth Relic Pagoda and around Mandalay.

Day 8

Mandalay – Yangon

Breakfast at hotel and rest of the day at your leisure. Late afternoon transfer to airport for your Yangon bound flight. Upon arrival at Yangon meet and greet by your driver and transfer to your hotel. In the evening , enjoy the breathtaking sunset from Botahtuaung pagoda which are very special pagoda since there’s Buddha’s hair inside these pagodas, Have fun going around downtown and to enjoy our modernized city life as well as pay a visit to China town.

Departure

After breakfast at hotel, we will transfer you to Yangon airport for your departure flight and conclude this wonderful travelling experience.
